Professor Quentin Pankhurst

Prof. Quentin Pankhurst is a Professor
of Physics at University College London
and Director of the UCL Healthcare Biomagnetics
Laboratory. Prof. Pankhurst’s research focuses
on bio- and nano-magnetism with the aim of
applying magnetic nanoparticles clinically, including
development of multi-functional nanoparticles
for therapy, molecular imaging, microscopy
of living cells and targeted regenerative medicine.

As a product of his research, Prof. Pankhurst co-founded
Endomagnetics Ltd, a company aiming to develop a new
generation of medical devices utilising magnetic particles
for application in procedures such as sentinel node
biopsies in breast cancer surgical staging.
